Customizing your iPhone can make it feel more personal and unique. One cool trick you might not know about is adding an emoji to the status bar. While Apple doesn’t provide a direct way to do this, you can achieve it using the Focus Modes introduced in iOS 15.
Here’s how:
Requirements
Your iPhone must be running iOS 15 or later.
Steps to Add an Emoji to Your Status Bar
1. Open Focus Settings
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Focus.
2. Create a Custom Focus Mode
Tap the + icon in the top right corner to set up a new Focus mode.
Select Custom and give it a name.
3. Choose Your Emoji and Notification Preferences
Pick an Emoji: Select an emoji or icon that will appear in your status bar. You can choose from fun options like a smiley face, heart, or light bulb.
Set Notification Preferences:
People: Decide if you want notifications from specific contacts or allow all.
Apps: Choose which apps can send notifications while this Focus mode is active.
4. Activate Your Focus Mode
Turn on your new Focus mode anytime from Settings > Focus or quickly switch it on from the Control Center.
